10 Amazing Supercars of Cristiano RonaldO

Despite his humble beginning in the working class area of Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo has risen through the ranks of the football world to become what some would call the world’s greatest footballer. Football was in Ronaldo’s blood, even at an early age, seeing him join football clubs like Nacional da liha do Madeira, before going on to sign with Sporting Portugal in 2001.

At just 16-years-old, Ronaldo delivered a truly mesmerising game against Manchester United, with his footwork skills even towering over those of more seasoned players. Ronaldo made such an impression with his Manchester United rivals, that certain team members asked their manager to consider signing Ronaldo. Soon after, Ronaldo was sold to Manchester United for £12 million.

Promise was shown in 2004 during the FA Cup Final, where Ronaldo scored the first three goals for the team, which helped them capture the championship. In 2008, Ronaldo signed a £31 million contract which saw him contracted to Manchester United for five years.

Ronaldo did not become laid back despite his gains, going on to provide Manchester United fans with one of the finest seasons in history, while setting a franchise record for the number of goals scored. He also managed to earn a place in the FIFA World Player of the Year honour, thanks to his involvement in steering Manchester United to three premier league titles. In 2009, Real Madrid paid Manchester United $131 million for Ronaldo to join them.

Despite his many achievements, Ronaldo keeps on perfecting his craft. This ensures more rewards so he can invest into his hobby of purchasing supercars. We take a look at ten of Ronaldo’s great motors.

.

10. Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet 2013

The first inclusion into Ronaldo’s museum of supercars is the Porsche 911, a car which many believe to be the only true Porsche. The Porsche 911 shows that manufacturer’s heritage all came from a rear-engine sports car, which mirrors Ronaldo’s humble beginnings. As such, the Porsche 911 is proud to be among the most recognisable cars in the world thanks to its 40 years of evolution and astonishing 420 hp at 6500 rpm.

9. Bentley Continental GT Speed 2006

When you consider that the Bentley Continental GT is one of the most powerful Bentleys available, it should come as no surprise that the model was purchased by Ronaldo. The Bentley Continental GT offers an aggressive but comfortable ride, allowing drivers to reach 60mph in a mere 4 seconds. Its inner-beast derives from the 626 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Although the speed of the Continental GT is a force to be reckoned with, the car tackles tight bends with very little obstacle.

And of course, there’s the aesthetics to consider. Not only does the Continental GT provide a treat for the eyes from the outside, but it’s also home to a luxury interior.

8. Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano 2006

Although Ronaldo’s Ferrari 599 GTB met its demise when he crashed in a tunnel near Manchester Airport, this doesn’t detract from how beautiful this car is. Although considered a supercar by many, the 599 GTB is actually one of the most accomplished GT cars ever created.

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano offers drivers 620 hp at 7,600 hp. The engine pulls along the aesthetically-pleasing body of the 599 GTB Fiorano with ease, ensuring that it’s not short of charisma when it hits the roads. The true pleasure of the car can be experienced by simply cruising along with the windows open.

7. Bentley Continental GTC 2006

Evidently a fan of the Bentley series, Ronaldo invested in the car that helped turn around the company’s fortunes for the better when it was taken over by Volkswagen in 1998. As fans of Ronaldo will agree, the car shares the same achievements in helping an industry turn around by its very presence.

The car features a roof that can be retracted at will, making it ideal for those sunny drives which you may want to do considering the 552 bhp at 6100 rpm. And while not overly spacious, the car’s interior really is something to be marvelled at. All in all, a confident but comfortable drive.

6. Aston Martin DB9 2013

A cut above, the Aston Martin DB9. A car that is nothing short of breathtaking, the DB9 has been cited as one of the most desirable cars in the industry, so it comes as no surprise that Ronaldo made it part of his vast collection.

Needless to say, the Aston Martin DB9 is out to impress and impress it does thanks to its high-end interior and ability to reach 62 mph in a mere 4.6 seconds due to the 510 hp. That said, you could be sailing along at 40 mph and it will still feel like you were travelling at 200 mph. A truly indulgent car that doesn’t hold back on the luxury.

5. Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe 2007

Those looking for a statement of luxury need only look at the Phantom Drophead Coupe to be lured in, not mentioning the 453 bhp. Although it could be deemed strange that a soft-top is recognised as a coupe, this isn’t the only unusual trait it has.

As well as its extravagant price tag, it also offers a few quirky features that could feel more at home on a yacht than on a car. For example, the Phantom Drophead Coupe offers rear-opening doors, together with an exterior design that takes much of its inspiration from yachts seen during the 1930s.

4. Maserati GranTurismo 2009

Although not as powerful as some of the other models listed, the Maserati GranTurismo is still a force to be reckoned with. Although the car has been specifically designed for road use, that doesn’t mean that the features of the car are any less impressive.

Although it is capable of 400 hp at 7,100 rpm, the Maserati GranTurismo still manages to weave in a sense of comfortability, meaning that drivers aren’t subjected to any unnecessary jerking while driving. The steering is another standout feature, offering a relaxed system that remains accurate despite the bumps on the road.

3. Audi R8 201

If the sleek exterior of the Audi R8 doesn’t gather interest of those around, then the engine which offers a maximum 570 hp, soon will. Drivers are given a red button in the centre of the steering wheel in which to start the car, and once started, you can be confident that you’re driving a car that means business.

As well as sporting an aggressive sounding engine, the Audi R8 sports a sharp exterior that is matched with an aluminum and carbon fibre structure, meaning that the car weighs less than some of its competitors, giving it that extra edge when it comes to speed.

2. BMW M6 2006

As well as being proud to be one of the most attractive cars available, the BMW M6 is also home to a few nifty features. This includes a full-colour display within the vehicle that can display music, navigation and revs depending on your preferences.

The seats also look to diminish fatigue, offering drivers a selection of 20 different electronic adjustments, meaning that you are able to take a drive that had more miles involved, without feeling squashed in and tired as you make the journey. The engine boasts a healthy 500 hp, and there are an impressive number of driving features which can also be adjusted within the M Driving Dynamics control, offering a truly bespoke driving experience.

1. Audi RS6 2003

Although a more robust addition to the collection, there’s still plenty to be admired about the Audi RS6. The all-wheel drive helps propel the Audi RS6 to 60mph within 3.7 seconds thanks to its 450 hp.

The car is armed with the latest air-suspension system which works in partnership with the body control to deliver a truly faultless drive. Rides along the motorway are often free from the noise of the wind outside, meaning that regardless of where you drive to, your drive will be a smooth, comfortable affair
